MUSUBI MONO CHAIR

€6,900.00

Made-to-order
Musubi Arc Upholstered, Mappa Burl
ARM CHAIR

Designed by Wilén-Jong, Musubi (2026) explores the relationship between structure, craft and materiality through a contemporary interpretation of traditional Japanese woodworking principles.

The collection takes inspiration from sashimono, the Japanese tradition of precision joinery where complex structures are created without relying on visible hardware. This philosophy of connection and restraint informs the construction of Musubi — where every element serves both a structural and visual purpose.

  • Dusting: Regularly dust your wooden furniture using a soft, lint-free cloth to prevent the build-up of dirt and debris.

Cleaning: Use a mild wood cleaner or a mixture of mild soap and water to clean the surface of the furniture. Avoid strong chemicals or abrasive cleaners that can damage the finish.

Moisture Control: Wood is sensitive to changes in humidity, so avoid placing wooden furniture in areas with high humidity or direct sunlight, as it can cause warping, cracking, or fading. Use a humidifier or dehumidifier to maintain a consistent humidity level if necessary. Wood is a living material and will slightly change colour over time; direct sunlight will speed up the process.

Protection: Use coasters, placemats, or tablecloths to protect the wooden surface from spills, heat, and scratches.

Avoid leaving objects in the same place on the surface for extended periods, as this may cause uneven ageing of the wood's colour.

Polishing: Periodically, apply a high-quality furniture polish or wax to nourish the wood and enhance its natural lustre. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for application and buffing.

Avoid Sharp Objects: Do not drag sharp or rough objects directly on the wooden surface to prevent scratching or gouging.
